How to Put on Your Ski Boot and Check the Fit

Step 1.

Sit on a bench or chair and wear a pair of ski socks.

Step 2.

Open all of the buckles and Velcro straps.

Step 3.

Put on the ski boots by gently pulling up and out on the tongue of the boot while simultaneously sliding your foot in.

Step 4.

Once your foot is in, hit the heel of the boot on the floor, making sure your heel is correctly positioned in the heelcup of the boot.

Step 5.

Starting at the toe buckle, gently tighten each buckle working your up to the upper cuff buckle. Then gently tighten the Velcro strap.

Step 6.

Stand up and flex into the boot firmly three to five time

Step 7.

If you feel extra retention is needed, tighten the buckles further. If you need to tighten the buckles completely to get the retention you desire, the boot is too big and you should downsize.

If your toes still hit the inside of the boot after the above listed steps, then you should move a bigger size boot.
