How to adjust the ski boot canting

The cuff canting adjustment (lateral tilt of the cuff) enables the skier to tune the boot geometry to specific leg morphology. The objective of the canting adjustment is to reach the skier’s most natural stance on their skis, allowing smooth and easy engagement/disengagement of the ski edges.

Step 1.

Put on your ski boots and fasten the buckles and Velcro straps.

Step 2.

With a 3mm key, loosen the canting screws

Step 3.

With the feet as wide as if you were skiing, flex forward 3 to 5 times

Step 4.

Without moving laterally, ask a friend to tighten the canting screws again

You will notice that if you are bow legged, the cuff tilt will be toward the external side (positive canting) and if you are knock kneed, the cuff tilt will be to the inside (negative canting)
